Ithaca Pride Alliance Micro-Grant Program
Community Empowerment Grants
Our goal with the rapid-response micro-grant program is to empower teams and individuals in our community to develop skills, increase resources, and build confidence at the community level in order to create lasting solutions to social, cultural, economic, and political issues.
Microgrants of up to $500 are available to individuals and organizations in four categories. Applications are reviewed year-round on a rolling basis.

Micro-Grant Categories
Proposals should focus on building capacity through subsidizing all or a portion of a project that fits into one or more of the following categories:
Celebrating History and Local Culture
Expanding Community Visibility and Advocacy-Based Support
Cultivating LGBTQ+ Arts and Culture
Growing & Celebrating Intersectionality
Funding
Microgrants of up to $500 are available to individuals and organizations.
Our grants are a direct payment. Once your required application materials are submitted, funds will be released even if the proposed project has not yet begun.
Eligibility & Submission Requirements
Grant proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis. To be considered for a micro-grant, the project and applicant must meet the following criteria:
The project proposal must center LGBTQ+ community
The project must be located in Tompkins County. Requesting funds for a training or professional development opportunity outside of Tompkins County? Make a clear proposal for how the opportunity will be used to directly support LGBTQ+ community in Tompkins County
Demonstrate an intention to empower the LGBTQ+ community in Tompkins County
The Ithaca Pride Alliance Logo must be incorporated on marketing materials, and digital assets must link to the Ithaca Pride Alliance website and/or social media. By accepting a grant, the applicant consents to having related marketing or photographic images of your project used by the Ithaca Pride Alliance using for our website, social media, grant-reporting, and marketing team.
Applicant must complete all required forms to be considered. Required proposal & acceptance materials include:
Project Application Form
Impact Plan
Expense Plan
Complete a call/meeting with a member of the microgrant review team, or arrange for a site visit
Due 60 days after completion:
Actuals expense report
Reflection and Impact Report
Project Examples
Examples of projects that would be considered eligible:
Booking an LGBTQ+ entertainer
Hosting a recurring LGBTQ+ BIPOC social space
Purchasing equipment to increase the physical accessibility of a queer-focused event
Hosting an advocacy workshop or training in Tompkins County
Purchasing materials for the preservation and display of LGBTQ+ historical artifacts
Examples of projects which would not be eligible:
Projects which occur outside of Tompkins County
Use of funds to underwrite existing operational costs
Projects for personal use or gain
