All Ya’ll Clothing Swap

Access Hour (Masked) 11am - Noon | Main Event: Noon - 3pm

Find new fashion and donate clothes for re-use at our annual all-gender and all ages clothing swap. Items available include clothing, jackets, bags & backpacks, shoes, accessories, and more! Drop off clothing at a donation site leading up to the event, bring clothes to swap when you arrive, or attend simply to find new items for your closet.

This event is 100% run by volunteers - if you have time to support the event, consider signing up for a shift!

Donation Sites

Local businesses allow the Ithaca Pride Alliance to collect donations leading up to the event. Clean out your closet and drop off donations! Donations will be accepted January 19th - March 5th, 2026 at the following locations during normal business hours. Check location for hours of operation and access:

What Can I Donate?

Gently used clothing, coats, shoes, purses & bags, hats, swimsuits, accessories such as belts, gloves, and scarves, jumpsuits, work clothing, and children's clothing are accepted.

Please clean clothing before donation.

Event Details

Access Hour: 11am - Noon

Our access hour is for individuals who are COVID-conscious, need more time or space, prefer a low-sensory experience, or would like extra assistance from volunteer team members. All volunteers and attendees will be masked. No amplified sound will be played.

Regular Hours: Noon - 3pm

For the remainder of the event, music will be played and attendees & volunteers are not required to be masked.

Donations

Attendees may bring items to donate to the swap, but dropping off donations at one of our collection sites ahead of time is highly encouraged! You are not required to bring items to swap in order to participate.

Event Accessibility & Offerings

Building Access

Martha Hamblin Hall is on the 3rd floor of CSMA. There is elevator access at the rear of the building, and signage with directions will be posted. A volunteer will be posted at the exterior door to ensure access.

Accessibility Aids

The following items will be available:

  • earplugs

  • grabber tools

  • folding/collapsible stools

  • masks

Layout & Facilities

The layout will be set up with a minimum of 36” of travel access. Restrooms have at least one ADA-accessible stall. Changing spaces will be set up, and at least one will have a bench and room for a wheelchair/powerchair to maneuver.

Quiet Space

A low sensory room will be available throughout the event with soft lighting, no amplified sound, soft seating, and fidget toys.

Style Alchemists

Our style helpers are special volunteers who will be circulating and on hand to help you pick out gender-affirming clothing in a style that suits your needs! Need help pulling a fit together, or finding accessories that match? These volunteers will help you out.

Parking

There is limited street parking outside the building. It is a short walk from the Green St. and Seneca St. parking garages and the Seneca St. TCAT bus stop. Downtown Ithaca provides several handicap parking spots close by.

Clothing Swap Volunteer Sign-Up Form

We need you! We’re looking for volunteers to dedicate 2 or more hours to one of the following duties to make this year’s clothing swap a success.

  • Clothing Movers
    Moving clothing from vehicles into the building, setting up tables, sorting and laying out clothing. All volunteers must be masked during setup as we prepare for access hour.

  • Event Greeter
    Are you outgoing, friendly, and eager to make people feel welcome at the event? Event greeters welcome attendees at the main information desk and direct them to donations or the swap room, and provide information about the Ithaca Pride Alliance.

  • Clothing Intake
    Accept clothing donations, sort by size, and deliver to swap tables. This position can be done sitting or standing.

  • Style Alchemist
    Do you have a great sense of style? Help swap participants choose clothing and create outfits that are gender-affirming and style conscious.

  • General Volunteer & Accessibility Support
    On hand to help with unexpected tasks or questions; assist attendees with accessibility equipment or questions

  • Breakdown Crew (MOST WANTED!)
    Help move remaining clothing out of the building, take down signage and accessibility / supporting materials, and unload bins of clothing at our storage center about 10 minutes away from the event venue.

What We Provide

Volunteers receive an IPA volunteer t-shirt, snacks & water, and have the chance to socialize with other members of the LGBTQ community dedicated to making a difference.

Plus, a chance to have first dibs on items! We provide masks for those volunteering during access hour.

We’re looking for an individual or small team to help make it happen. The Ithaca Pride Alliance has many local organizations, businesses, and non-profits who are eager to collaborate - all we need need are the right team of dedicated people to take our sustainable, gender-affirming swaps to the next level. Time commitment is flexible.
